Malina Joshi (born 27 January 1988, in Dharan) is Miss Nepal 2011. Malina Joshi was crowned Miss Nepal title amongst 19 contestants in grand finale after delivering an impressive answer about women’s dominance to the judges, that sealed her spot in the competition. She represented Nepal in Miss World 2011 which was held on 4 November 2011 in London. She was selected to perform Nepalese folk dance in the final day of the competition. She was also on the top-30 for Beauty with a Purpose title, a major award at Miss World.

Miss Nepal, Malina Joshi who is from Dharan, Sunsari district of Nepal, has studied MBA in marketing (Ace Institute of Management). She is like to work in Advertizing. She says she is persistent and determined about what she wants from life. She was among the top five finalists in Miss Angel 2010 contest and won the Miss Intellect title award. She believes her major strength is not to stop trying.

And she always feels that she could do better and reach greater heights in life. She participated in Miss Nepal Pageant to achieve those goals which she has set. She wants to make her a creative director in the advertising world.

Aaryan Sigdel (Born as Harish Sigdel on 5 August 1984) is a Nepali Film actor who has appeared in Nepali language films. He is known for his good looks and spontaneous acting. Aaryan Sigdel debuted in Kismat and then played a lead role in a romantic lovestory Mero Euta Saathi Cha, as a young royal spoilt brat. The film was highly inspired by the Korean hit A Millionaire’s First Love. His portrayal of Jay Shamsher Junga Bahadur Rana was highly appreciated and generated lots of fan-base for him. His character in this film is said to be one of the best male character ever depicted in Nepali silver-screen.

Early life

Aaryan Sigdel was born in Dhunche of Rasuwa district. His family moved to Thankot Kathmandu later. He studied at Dipendra Police School and later completed his schooling from Mangloday High School Thankot. A very good student in school Aaryan went to Ratna Rajya College. As the desire of becoming an actor kindled he started taking acting lessons and could not complete his study in college. He started taking acting lessons from Pariwartan Nepal, a theater troupe with whom Aaryan has participated in several street plays as well.

Aaryan Sigdel first lead role was in Kismat, opposite Rekha Thapa. His second role was in Mausam, which became an average hit at the box office. In 2009, his third film Mero Euta Saathi Cha was released.It was a film that made Aaryan Sigdel a household name in Nepal. Later in the year 2010 he made a hatrick by biggest hits Hifajat, First Love,The Flashback.

In 2010 his six films were released. Two of his films Kohi Mero and Bandhi did not do well where the sixth release Kasle Choryo Mero Man broke all the records at the box office. In this film he again appeared opposite Rekha Thapa. Though the rumours of fallout between the two pair is heard quite often but their pair is said to be the best onscreen pair in Nepali films.

It is very interesting fact that most of his films have English titles. Many times he has been criticized for being over selective about scripts in a small industry like Nepal.

Regarded as the most highest paid actor in Nepali film industry his latest release K Yo Maya Ho successfully made a good opening at the box office. K Yo Maya Ho is directed by Sudarshan Thapa who directed Mero Euta Saathi Cha.

Nisha Adhikari (4 October 1986) is a Nepalese actress, beauty queen, model, TV Personality (VJ) and RJ. She is an actress well known for her role in the film First Love released in 2010 and her appearance in music videos. Before embarking on her acting career, she was involved in beauty contests and modeling. Nisha Adhikari works on music videos of various, she is the one of the most talented and beautiful model in Nepali music industry.

She was born in a middle-class Nepali family, completed her A levels and started as VJ & MC professional. In 2009, she finished her undergraduate at Wigan and Leigh College

Beauty pageants

In 2005, at the age of 21, Nisha Adhikari won the title of Miss International Nepal along with subtitle of Miss and, subsequently, represented Nepal in the Miss International 2005 pageant in Japan. In 2008, she joined the Miss Nepal 2008 beauty contest; the pageant was cancelled because of Maoist and other group protests.


For the last two and a half years, Nisha has been working in the media industry. She went to Pakistan to record two program serials in Urdu. She debuted as VJ from a television show called Nine to Nine. Then, she did Indi mini Bag, Count Down Kantipur, Play it On and Some More. She played in some music videos of Nepalese singers like Sudip Giri, Sugam Pokharel, Ciney Gurung and Satya Raj.

Adhikari made her acting debut in a comedy programme called Gharbeti Ba on Kantipur Television. In 2009, her debut movie was Mission Paisa starting Nikhil Upreti. Mission Paisa was one of the successful biggest hit movies of the year. In 2010, she was in the movie Nainraresham and First Love.

She was appointed ambassador for the Autism Care Centre, and she is also member of Rotary Club of Nagarjun, where she worked as director of youth service for one year.

Kanchanpur District

    Chandani Dodhara or Mahakali Bridge is a suspension bridge, built and designed by Nepali engineer and technicians; over Mahakali River with a length about 1,496.5m built to link the only island of Nepal, a border villages of Chandani Dodhara in far western Nepal with the rest of Nepal. It is in Kanchanpur District of Mahakali zone in far western Nepal.
