Nepali Film Song
Nepali popular music as written and performed for Nepali cinema. A Nepali film song is the music that is from or inspired by a feature film. There is constant work for pop music composers — or music directors, to use the Nepali term. Nepali film songs are released as tapes and CDs, before the movie is released and account for the bulk of popular music sales in Nepal.
This may be partly due to widespread music piracy in Nepal. Nepali Film Songs released on Tape and CD, but they will not necessarily make any money for the artists, thanks to illegal copying. Cassettes or CDs of a Nepali film's song are often released before the movie itself. There is no market or good listener of Nepali film songs as Nepali Film songs have been dominated by Hindi film songs and western music.

They tend to sing for many films, have long careers and be adored by their fans.
